This was what my happy face resembled after speaking to my IBD nurse last week.
Had my bowel inflammation marker test done 2 weeks ago.
In January I was +2000 – normal should be 60 or under. They stop counting at 2000 – that is absolutely confirmed your bowels are inflammed no question, no doubt, you have Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).
The nurse said they would be pleased if the retest was down to 1000 because that would mean things were improving…
The results are in and I am down at 63 😊

Taking the medication is all well and good and over the last 4 months I have had quite a challenge finding a medication that I am not allergic to or have had severe side effects to. But you need to take RESPONSIBILITY for your body, LEARN as much as you can about your condition and the things that cause it and take the best care of yourself you can.
The NHS don’t have the time, money or resources to help you find the cause, they can only help you manage your symptoms.
DO EVERYTHING to help your body heal, rest, sleep, eat well, meditate, exercise, do all the woowoo stuff that feels right for you, take the well researched supplements, let go of guilt, stress, anger and give yourself a whole lot of love and compassion.
Accept the diagnosis but not the prognosis
